There are quite a few options available when considering pharmacy tech courses. Really, the best move is to start with a list of what is important for you in your search for the best training programs. Consider things like tuition cost, courses available, ease and proximity of the campus, or online options if you prefer. Do this before you even begin to look at the plethora of potential educational providers. After you have made your list, rank them in order of importance. Then begin your search and score each category separately to find the right school for you.
The pharmacy tech courses you will need to take vary by state, especially if you are attempting to get a local certification. Generally speaking, however, it is a good idea to take classes that have an emphasis in math and science. As far as math goes, you don’t need anything too advanced, algebra should be fine. Sciences are a bit more complicated, and can cover such basics as biology and chemistry all the way up to tougher courses like anatomy and physiology. Study hard and you will find yourself well on your way to becoming a pharmacy tech in no time at all.
