Generally speaking, there are no degrees issued for pharmacy tech. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t get a great online degree that will help you in your career as a pharmacy tech. There are certificate programs available for a number of states and a couple of federal regulatory agencies from whom a credential will serve invaluable in your search for gainful employment. Pharmacy technologists often have AA degrees, and your best bet if you follow this route would be to pursue something in the sciences, such as biology. Many of the life sciences have a direct overlap with your chosen career.

When it comes to choosing an online degree as a pharmacy tech, you should also keep in mind that not all of your coursework will be in front of a computer. Especially if you are pursuing a degree in biology or life sciences, there will be times when you must visit a classroom. These instances may include lab and practical classes, as well as some exams that must be taken in person. Courses like anatomy, which may involve a cadaver, must similarly be considered incomplete without personal attendance.
